Plug and Play

The TQ6-ADV connects to your computer with an A/B USB cord (provided) and easily configures through your operating systems video game controller page.   Further button assignments can be selected in the flight simulator.

Though the TQ6-ADV is designed for twin-engine planes, this device works with any number of engines.  The TQ6-ADV works well with four engine wide-body planes, turbo-prop, and smaller jet engine regional planes.  Simple set the controls in the configuration page to control the number of engines your plane has and the TQ6-ADV can adapt to your specific needs.

High Quality

Like all of our products, the attention to detail and craftsmanship of the TQ6-ADV Throttle Quadrant is unparalleled in the industry.  The electronic switches and potentiometers are all high cycle count components.  The metal construction is the same found in every GoFlight Technologies product.   Everything is built and assembled in the USA and will last for years.

GoFlight’s TQ6-ADV Throttle Quadrant is compatible with Prepar3D and FSX/FS9 using our Free GF-Config software. Third Party support is available for other X-Plane.

Racks & Mounting Options

The GoFlight TQ6-ADV is built with flexibility in mind.  Hole patterns exist on the back and the bottom of the quadrant which aligns with GoFlight racks* and the GoFlight throttle quadrant clamp*.  Beyond this, pilots can build their own cockpit environment and integrate the throttle quadrant to their own liking.

GoFlight never ceases to amaze in the quality they put into their products. This is a nice replica of the 737 throttle quadrant and really adds to the simming experience when you come in to land and get to pull the reverse thrust. You go any cheaper than this and you’re gonna have a cheap plastic throttle quadrant that looks and feels cheap. Any higher than this and you’ll be spending thousands of dollars. So I consider this product the happy medium and I’ve had it for years now without ever having an issue.

I don’t know what it is about this unit but I simply don’t like it. I’ve tried to like it. I bought it several years ago, got it set up and simply didn’t like anything about it. The look, the feel, the quality, anything! I returned it. Some time later, I decided to give it another try. I unboxed it, set it up on my sim desk and didn’t even connect it to my sim machine. I moved all the levers and realized that all my previous issues with this unit were still valid.

This is the only GF unit design that I would like to see GF abandon in favor of a clean sheet design. For the $600 that GF is asking for this unit, I’d really like to see levers with smoother action and Hall sensors, beefier buttons for the TOGA and AT DISC switches, tactile detents for flap positions and speed brake positions, more realistic reverser levers, AND possibly engine start levers (switches to keep costs down would suffice). There are units available from other manufacturers that more closely match all my requirements above. However, they cost more than double what the GF unit costs and that’s simply more than I’m willing to spend.

I hate to come down so hard on this unit in my review, but Id really like to see GF come up with a better design.

    Love It!

I bought this about a year ago, and think it’s a good medium price option for a realistic throttle quadtrent. One thing that does dissapiont me is that the unit is not at the 20° offset the real thing is at. I know GoFlight offers an engin start tilt unit for this but I would like to see a plain old stand be made for it. I did create my own stand and other than that this unit is quite the keeper.

I’ve now used the unit for about 3 months and find it to be a great throttle quadrant. It’s sturdy, well built and easy to set up. I am a real world B-763 pilot and have used other similar products but have found the GF-TQ6-ADV to be a cut above the rest. The reverser levers are what sets this unit apart from the others. Only criticism would be that at idle the levers are to far aft and unrealistic (only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars). I have ordered the tilt base offered by GoFlight in hopes to correct this problem. I will write a review once I have received them. I definitely would recommend GF-TQ6-ADV to anyone who’s on the fence about buying one.
